Dental Sealant

The Dental Sealant Program provides dental health education and free protective sealants to eligible second graders in three Cecil County schools. Dental sealants are a protective covering applied to the chewing surfaces of the four primary molars. With parental permission, a local volunteer dentist performs a dental screening and orders dental sealants, which are later applied by a dental hygienist. The services are performed in a temporary dental suite, set up at the pre-selected schools.
